In July, 1937, the Gratiot County Conservation League was formed at 113 W.
Elizabeth St., Alma, Mi. The Articles of Incorporation stated that “This
Organization shall be for the purpose of fostering conservation,
reforestation and such other activities along this line as the members or
executive committee may endorse from time to time”.
In 1973, approximately 135 acres of land was obtained at our present
location and a clubhouse was built. In January, 1974, we moved into our new
facilities and changed the name on the Articles of Incorporation to The Pine
River Recreation Club (PRRC).
We offer facilities for participating in the shooting sports and activities
that include:
- Indoor archery range
- Outdoor pistol range, small & big bore
- Outdoor rifle range; 25, 50, and 100 yards-Members and guests accompanied by members
- Trap shooting
- Outdoor & Indoor 3-D archery range
- Nature trail- open to the public
Throughout the year we offer many events including:
Indoor archery, youth archery, 22 pistol shoots, big bore pistol shoots, traditional archery, weekend shoot, archery rabbit hunts, trap shooting,
bowling pin shoots for pistol, and 3-D archery shoots.
The clubhouse is available to rent for receptions, reunions, meetings, etc.
It is also available at no charge for funeral dinners, hunter safety classes
or community events with approval of the PRRC Board of Directors.
